Notes on newsletter and consents
With the following notifications we clarify the content of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical analysis processes and your objection rights. By sending the data you have entered you consent to the data being processed and confirm our data protection policy.
Purpose, unsubscription, data storage
Our free newsletter provides you with regular information by email on communication tips as well as our offers and activities. The data you enter here is only used to personalise the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or revoke your consent at any time by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also unsubscribe directly at: https://seu2.cleverreach.com/f/163374-161475/wwu/
Your data is deleted within 30 days of ending newsletter receipt if the deletion is not opposed by statutory storage periods.
To address you personally in the newsletter, we collect and process the following data from you:
Form of address, first name, last name, email
Use of the “CleverReach” dispatch service provider
The newsletter is sent using “CleverReach”, a newsletter dispatch program by
CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG
CleverReach may only use the personal data provided in the Federal Republic of Germany or a member state of the European Union. CleverReach uses this data on our behalf to send and analyse the newsletter. We have concluded a written agreement for data processing with CleverReach. This is a contract in which CleverReach is obliged to protect our users’ data, process it on our behalf according to the data protection provisions and in particular not to pass it on to third-parties.
Anonymous data for measuring success
Our contract with CleverReach includes 100% data protection compliance. In order to measure the success of the newsletter and optimise our offer for our users, we collect opening and click rates. The data of recipients who open the newsletter and click on it is shown anonymously in the reports. For this purpose no complete IP addresses are collected and processed.
Double opt-in and logging
To register for our newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. I.e. after registration you receive an email that requests confirmation of your registration. This confirmation is required so that nobody can register with a third-party email address. The newsletter registrations are logged to be able to document the registration process pursuant to the legal requirements. This includes storing the registration and confirmation timing as well as the IP address. The changes to the data stored are also logged with CleverReach. Data from recipients who have unsubscribed from the newsletter or started the double opt-in process but have not completed it, is deleted automatically at the latest after 30 days.
We use the Google reCaptcha process to determine whether a person or computer has made a particular entry in our contact or newsletter form. Google uses the following data to check whether you are human or a computer: IP address of the device used, our website that you visit and on which the Captcha is included, the date and duration of your visit, the detection data of the browser and operating system type used, Google account if you are logged into Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas and tasks that you complete to recognise the images. The legal basis for the described data processing is Art 6 Para. 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation. There is a justified interest on our page in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and protect us from automated entries (attacks).
